Miles, Fox gone to Oakland
Everybody's reporting it, figure we may as well write about it too:
Aaron Miles and Jake Fox have been traded to the Oakland Athletics for P Jeff Gray, OF Matt Spencer and P Ronny Morla. The Cubs appear to have also included cash in the deal.
When I find out more about these kids, or anything on how much money the Cubs gave up, I'll let you know.
Update: It's a million bucks. Miles is owed $2.7mil for 2010.

I gotta say, I like this deal. Get the team younger, get rid of our 5th best 2nd baseman (I rank Miles behind Baker, Theriot, Blanco, and Fontenot), and ship Jake Fox to a team where he can play every day.

I like it. Hendry corrected one of the mistakes of last year. And while I like Fox, he's of more value to an AL club than he ever would be to the Cubs. Now lets see what he can do with our lackluster outfield situation.
