The Cubs have placed Geovany Soto on the DL. Carrie Muskat reports on her blog that the Cub catcher could be out for a month. Just what this team needed!

Anybody have comments about the Cubs' minor league catching options? There's a Clevenger out there, a Johnson... I know very little about either.

There are likely some cheap backup options available out there on the trade market, as well. Maybe Greg Zaun (sp?) from the Orioles now that Matt Wieters is the everyday guy?
