Goatriders of the Apocalypse

The previously promised post 'em if you've got 'em thread

Or: What's in YOUR bookmark page?
As promised late last week, I've decided to open a thread to invite those of you with blogs to share them here.  A few conditions:

  • No pr0n
  • Nothing that goes to a website offering paid services of some kind
  • White Sox suck

Basically if you have a blog, post it.   If you've got a fantasy league team you want us to know about, share.  Similarly, if you know of a Cubs blog that gets far less traffic than it deserves, I have no objections to you posting about it here.

So, have at it!

No pr0n???

But I luv pr0n...

Seriously, kids, if you want to see articles on "fantasy baseball", go for it. Speaking for myself, I don't care enough about the "rest of the league" to really be a good fantasy baseball source, and I suspect most of the rest of us are the same way. We are all pretty much Cubs-centric, and the rest of the league are just suckas and fools for us to knock down. I don't give a good tiddy-buck how many steals Dustin Pedroia gets next year.

DailyCubsTalk - Twitter

Hopefully posting for Twitter is ok.

These guys have some decent commentary on the Cubs, not just regurgitate the news.

Hey guys, I know you're all here for Cubs content but if you're looking for a Chicago-based sports blog, check this out...

http://secondstringsports.wordpress.com/

Some friends and I have been running this site off and on (more recently on) over the last 2 years and we'd like to increase our readership outside of us and the people we know on Facebook.

We keep things light, we keep things funny (sometimes) and we love to debate with anyone willing to participate.

So check it out if you want to read some stuff about the Cubs, Bears, Bulls, Hawks and even the Sux.

I should mention that we are less "family friendly" over at Second String, so prepare yourself accordingly and put your kids to bed.

Should be a lot of fun, winner gets their choice of either a badass trophy or a badass t-shirt...the ladies love a fantasy sports god.

16?

Do you have any idea if you will have 16? I'm interested, but hate that it becomes a time sink. I kinda like weekly leagues for that reason....

so this is the official

so this is the official grota one? i'm down.

It certainly hasn't been

It certainly hasn't been authorized as the official GROTA league but it is full of Cubs fans. We should be able to get 16 teams by Sunday or at the very least 10-12. It does cost $25 to join but that gets you all the in-depth live stats, prize and it keeps out the losers who have something better to do than spend money on fantasy sports.

I don't care enough about the
