Goatriders of the Apocalypse

Today in Baseball History - January 1st

After a brief hiatus, TiBH returns for the new year.

1941 - Babe Ruth spends $50,000, the maximum amount allowed, on defense bonds to help defeat the evil, evil Nazis.  You can't, however, put a price on his contribution to American history.  Well, at the very least, if you could it would total way more than $50,000.  Like, over $100,000 even.

1975- Fernando Tatis was born.  Remember when he was good?  He's the third base version of Rick Wilkins.

2009 - An anxious Cub Fan nation waits nervously, wondering if "The DeRosa Trade" is a precursor to "The Peavy Trade", "The Milton Signing", and "The Bako Debacle."
