There is a silver lining here

Most teams that lose Game 1 of the playoffs have the problem that they lost a game they desperately needed to win with their ace on the mound. The Cubs don't have that problem.

The Cubs have Zambrano going tomorrow, and despite what you may have talked yourself into believing, he is a better pitcher than Ryan Dempster. Remember: momentum is only as good as the next day's starting pitcher.

And after that? Well, then we have our best pitcher on the mound, as Rich Harden faces off in Game Three of the series. Folks, the Cubs lost this game against the Dodgers' ace using their third best starter. Our pitching only gets better from here, and theris only gets worse. We are still right in this thing.

Now that you mention it

It gives me hope for the rest of the series. Hopefully good Z comes to the mound tomorrow and Rich Harden shows why Hendry got him. Plus Lilly has been outstanding in his last few starts and he'll need to be for game 4.
