Alfonso Soriano - opening the flood gates

So, we're all paranoid, worrying that the return of a player capable of hitting 40+ homeruns will somehow hurt the offense.

Has anybody stopped to think about how Soriano's bat will add fuel to an already explosive offense? Has anybody considered that, even if he's batting in the wrong place in the lineup, when he heats up the offense just might be unstoppable?

The Cubs lineup already looks amazing. Imagine how they'll look in a couple of weeks. It's a good time to be a Cubs fan.

Oh, one other thing.  Ronny Cedeno is currently batting .833 with the bases loaded.  Point of fact, of his 17 hits and 16 RBI, 5 and 14 come from a bases loaded situation.  Nearly 30% of all of his hits have been from those bases loaded situations.

Damn.  David Ortiz is jealous.

Here, here

And to think I talked shit about Cedeno for the past 2 years.
