They love us in Chicago
Not a huge update or anything, but we have been nominated as the "Blog of the Week" by the Chicago Tribune. It was an honor to get chosen, and we will shortly have a graphic up which will demonstrate our superiority to all who cower beneath us. ...or something, I dunno.
The only annoying thing is that, despite appearances, this really isn't my blog. In spite of the fact that I keep getting interviewed, despite the fact that they slapped my picture up in all my ... uh, I guess you'd call it "glory," I'm just another guy along for the ride. Here at Goat Riders, everybody is a full member and we go by committee, not by dictation.
So, let me just say for the record that Byron is, above all others, responsible for the creation of this blog. Rob and Jason are both integral writers who have equal say with Byron and myself and I consider them all to be part of the founding four. Furthermore, most of the written responses in the article were made by Jason, who has more funny in his left foot than I do in my entire body. Plus there's Kevin, who came in late but has been invaluable in his experience and feedback.
So, keep that in mind. I'm just a schmuck with some mediocre photoshop skills. This site would go on fine with out me, but I'd be nothing without Byron, Jason, Rob, Kevin, and maybe Kyle, if he survives his probation period. (Note to Kyle: the adult diapers and the Batman cape have been shipped. You'll have to buy a pacifier on your own. Regardless, as we previously discussed, we expect to see you fully garbed in that outfit on opening day, pledge-newb.)

Gulp

I thought I was getting ready to LEAVE college...
Speaking of blogs...
On cubs.com, there's a section that has 'MLBlogs', familiar with it?
I just ran across this polished turd....
"Bleeding Blue: Rantings of a Rabid Cubs Fan"
Wow, how lame.
