Let's take it a step further
If the Cubs go 3-3 at this point, they will finish at 86-76... the Brewers will have to go 7-0 just to match that record. Mmm. If the Cubs go 2-4, the Brewers need to go 6-1. If the Cubs go 1-5, the Brewers will still need to go 5-2 JUST TO TIE THEM. And if the Cubs totally tank, if they go 0-6, Milwaukee will still need to go 4-3 against the dangerous (...eh, well, sorta) Deadbirds, and the playoff-driven Padres.
Uphill battle, anyone?
