Do We Really Need to Have This Discussion?
For the most part, this reminder will fall on deaf ears, your typical collection of vacuous, shallow douchebag frat boys who seemingly infest large portions of the North Side nowadays and pay over their heads for the experience of sitting in the bleachers (aka "the cheap seats") at the simply STUPID price of forty-two dollars.
But it still needs to be said.
And besides, many of you may know these types of dongs-for-brains. Sons, little brothers, nephews perhaps; people you talk to who might be guilty of indulging in some of the trappings of self-centered modern fandom.
So get the message out, for their own good.
Honestly. I mean do people find that what happened to our favorite turtleneck-wearing, 80's headphone-listening dumbass, after he opted for a souvenir over the experience of observing the twenty-third out of the most important game in fifty-eight years for which he had presumably paid good money to do in the first case, was cute?
That's not to excuse the people who actually tried to assault the moron in 2003. On the other hand, let it not go un-noted that there is also no excuse to do what the fellow did. His behavior was a thoughtless, impulsive act, and should at the very least serve as a cautionary reminder to Cub fans to never do that again.
But it hasn't even served that purpose, has it? People are still doing it. Still messing with balls in play. It's disheartening that there are so many morons who actually believe it is their right to interfere with the action on the field so they can grab a stupid baseball when they can spend $15 for one at the souvenir stands downstairs or outside the ballpark.
Jesus Christ guys, we're there to see the players, not YOU. If you can't get over yourself, you deserve a fate worse than Headphone Boy.

Who wants a belt?
Bartman?
