Cubs trade Eyre to Phillies
Scott Eyre is now a member of the Philladelphia Phillies. Presumably the Cubs ate salary to make the deal happen. In exchange the Cubs relieve A-ball reliever Brian Schlitter, who may even make it to a major league ballgame without having to pay admission.
UPDATE: Phillies take on all the salary. Wow.
What's weird about this
What's weird about this whole trade (at least for me) is that I graduated from high school with Brian Schlitter and played football with him...this makes me feel like I've done very little with my life...(insert sappy violin music)
