Goatriders of the Apocalypse

Stephen A. Smith and Dusty Baker

First of all, for those of you who have discovered this site through Deadspin, I say good day to you. Feel free to come back, check out the site often, help yourselves to some beer ...

The whole Boo Dusty issue seems to causing some controversy. After posting about receiving the now-famous EMail yesterday inviting Cub fans to attend Stephen A. Smith's show and boo Dusty Baker, I discovered that Goat Riders is not the only one to receive the EMail, although we've been the most critical of it.

This, of course, has resulted in another EMail from the infamous show. The EMail has politely notified me that our information is not accurate, and has requested that we post a correction. As you can imagine, the correction says nothing about fans being invited to boo Dusty.

I don't want to be a jerk, and I don't want to get the AAAP in trouble for the EMail we received, but what's done is done. Cubs fans were invited to attend, they were encouraged to boo, and I don't like that. I think it crosses the line. I certainly don't blame the person who EMailed GROTA for inviting us to boo Dusty, I'm sure more than one person over at ESPN thought it was a good idea. So, no hard feelings on our part. If you're a Cubs fan who lives in the NYC area and wants to attend, go for it. The show tapes on Monday the 24th, try to arrive by 10am for the check in, and if you want to go then let me know and I'll arrange it through them. But don't boo. Show the poor bastard some respect.

As far as Dusty goes, the only question I have is this: what will he do to lose tonight's game? Let's spin the Wheel of Incompetence:
