It's bad, really bad, when Ryan Theriot is called up with a tagline:

Looking to add some offense and speed to a struggling lineup, the Cubs called up second baseman Ryan Theriot from Triple-A Iowa on Monday, sources told the Tribune.

Wow. How bad does your offense have to be before Ryan Theriot is the solution?

Stewie's Real Dad

Teams in a total tailspin; looks like with the exception of a few players that it has given up in early May. Can't buy any runs offensively; what does Big Jim do - he calls up another ulitity infielder who won't be able to hit his own weight in the bigs. Thanks Jim! Maybe Wood can play 2nd for us when he comes up; we could use his bat!

Hey... Anybody know how to get in touch with the Sloth? I've lost all email contact with him... I desperately need to locate him as I will be traveling through his area later this month and have a tentative date to buy him a beer.

If you can, please get in touch with him and give him my email. (It's gooseneck313@yahoo.com)Then tell him to get a hold of me.

He'll know who I am.

Thanks.

Well, as long as it isn't Augie it can't be that bad of a move. Then again resigning Kevin Orie and Robin Jennings is a better move than bringing up Don Baylor's personal lovemonkey Augie Ojeda. I dont care if he's batting .320. He could be batting .690 for the season and it would still be depressing to add him to this team's already down the crapper season.

The whole thing has to be dismantled. Dusty, Clines, Matthews and Rothschild. The team MUST be sold to a real human being owner that cares about winning. We are years away from a winning organization. I'm not talking about a "catch-lightning-in-a-bottle" winning season. I mean winning organization. Just look to 35th & Shields for an example.
