Goatriders of the Apocalypse

If You've Seen it once...

It was a beautiful day to be at the ballpark today.

Carlos Zambrano was pitching. Although he walked four batters in the first inning (forcing a run in), he no-hit the braves through six and two thirds innings.

At the bat, the Cubs saw some pretty strange things happen today, like a Freddie Bynum home run.

Juan Pierre got a hit, which has been rather infrequent of late.

While he was on first, Tim Hudson tried to pick him off a few times.

But in the end, Ryan Dempster couldn't close out the game. After loading the bases, he walked in a run. Then he gave up a sacrifice fly. When Neifi Perez dropped the relay throw, another run scored and the Cubs lost.

Oh well, I don't know what to say. I'll be out at the ballyard again tomorrow. Here's hoping for a win.

Jeremy, I wish to see this team win because that is why most people root for a team. I have seen many years where the team loses miserably, and this does not necessarily lead to changes which result in wins.

I would gladly see the team lose every single game for the rest of the season if that ensured me a World Championship in the next year or two... instead, it just ensures that I'll be upset the rest of the year.

Jeremy

Why would you want this team to win? The only hope this pathetically organized franchise has is to lose REPEATEDLY and pray that the dollar signs don't prevent management from blowing up the team.

Tonker, All of the pictures were taken from my seat along the first baseline as you correctly surmised... except for the last one, which was taken from the Addison El station on the way home.

KJK, it is a Sony. I'll be posting a link for it in a bit. The important things are the 5.1 megapixels and the 12x optical zoom. This camera is working out great for baseball. I wish I could spend a day in the camera pit.

L is for Loss, Losers, and 98 years of futility. Yesterday's game was so incredibly frustrating. I was thisclose to yelling obscenities at the top of my lungs... and I didn't have anything to drink.

The booing was very loud, and the bleacher bums littered the field with debris twice. First after Neifi dropped the relay throw, and again after the loss.

I know the 'L' stands for "Loss" but it's slowly turning into "Losers"

what i want to know is what kind of camera do you have? those pictures are great

Tonker

Oh, hang on... I've got it. You were sitting down the first base line. You could have taken all those from there. Nice camera, though - takes a good snap.

Tonker

Nice pictures, Byron - but how many different seats did you have at the park yesterday?
