Bench Barrett

You can tell it's fake not because Dusty's wearing a different uniform than Michael, but because he would never get off his ass and get out onto the field.
Michael Barrett apparently hasn't learned. He doesn't call for his pitchers to throw waste pitches - some speculate because he's afraid he won't be able catch the waste pitches - and he's been the catcher for way too many 0-2 homers, including one hit by the pitcher the other day.
So, it's time to strike while the iron is hot. If you aren't watching the Cubs on a daily basis, then you probably think that Michael Barrett is a great catcher. So, it's time to trade him. Maybe the Cubs could get a better starting second baseman, or a, you know, good right fielder. But if Barrett's trade value is high, take advantage.
Otherwise, we will again follow the trend of the team having a 4.5 ERA while Barrett catchers, and a 3.5 ERA while Hank White catches.

Sorry Kurt, I can't agree with you here. Have you taken a look at how many quality catchers are out there? Damn few. And for all those who think Hank White is a better overall catcher than Barrett, well...I think the burden of proof is on you.
Remember. Defensive runs and Offensive runs count equally. Really, they do. I checked.

I'm thinking the Cubs could get a more productive position player - possibly even a younger one. You don't NEED great production from the catcher's position as long as you have good numbers elsewhere.
I'm just concerned because, apart from his throwing errors (which don't bother me so much), Barrett doesn't seem to call a good game.
