Goatriders of the Apocalypse

The Zambran-O-Meter Heads For Chicago

After just over two months of baseball, the Goat Riders Zambran-O-Meter will soon be at Wrigley Field for the remainder of the season. For those of you who don't know, Al Yellon of Bleed Cubbie Blue has agreed to display and update the 120-win Zambran-O-Meter regularly, being that he has season tickets.

Since I haven't had a chance to get to Chicago until now, the sign has been cooling its heels in my bedroom closet. I'll also be bringing a second sign, which will read:

Hopefully someone will spot one or both signs, assuming that either will make it onto television.

In the meantime, I'd like to encourage you all to head on over to our super store, where you can not only buy cool looking GROTA stuff, but also t-shirts endorsing the firing of Dusty Baker, and the ultra-rare Holy Grail. Not only are these things cool-looking, but you'll also get to endorse our cool little website for the baseball world.

And hey, when the Cubs look like they're going to win the World Series, you'll be able to say that you were in on the grass roots movement from the start.

So, hopefully we'll all be enjoying the upcoming games, and with luck, an even wider audience will soon know about Goat Riders of the Apocalypse.

Does the poster look like the graphic to the right? Oh, and thanks for Al for carrying it.

Pretty much. The only difference is that there's a part that reads "brought to you by www.bleedcubbieblue.com and www.goatriders.org"

I drew the image myself, and my girlfriend painted it.

Oh, and I should mention that if any of you would like to meet up with me in Chicago, give me an EMail or comment here and we can try to arrange it. I might hang out at Murphy's after one or both of the games.

I don't think I will be able to make it after either of the games, but on Thursday Leah and I will probably be heading over the Bernie's for $1 beers, $3 cheeseburgers. Being grad students it is hard to pass up the cheap food and drink. If you are in town that day, let me know, and we can meet up there (as well as anyone else that wants to show). I'm not quite ready to commit to that day, but I think that I will be out that night.

That would be really cool for a CBA sign to make it on TV. I'll be watching out for that...
