Goatriders of the Apocalypse

Aw Hell

I've watched both games so far this weekend and I just don't know what to say. About the only thing that I can think of is this:

Without both 9th inning come from behind wins in Pittsburgh, the Cubs would be 16-24, 8 games under .500, 10 games behind the Cardinals, with a 6 game losing streak.

I don't know if that is just depressing or whether we're fortunate to have won those games or what... but I do know I'm pretty down about this team right now.

I share your sentiment. The upside is that the next 7 games are against struggling clubs. The Cubs must improve their home record. Was it reported as to why Zambrano was pulled in the second game of the crosstown? I would have left him in for 8 complete--then went to Borowski. Was this Zam's decision? Pitch count?

I have to believe it wasn't Z's decision, he would never take himself out. I think Baker made the right decision (across the board) given the arm problems Zambrano experienced this week. Sometime things just don't work out.

As far as struggling clubs go, it is quite the challenge to find clubs that are struggling more than the Cubs. Nice to see Houston in town (and in case you were wondering, yes, I just completely jinxed the Cubs. They are doomed).
