Although the team representing our nation's capitol had only won three of their last 19 games, they were more than able to make it four out of 20 against the Cubs.  Why?  Because the Cubs suck.

Not, not really, I kid.  In reality, the Cubs lost because I dained to mock a pitcher who, up until this year, truly was terrible.  Am I really not allowed to express negative feelings towards the opposition without consequence?  

It seems not and, because I ran my mouth, the Cubs lost 5-3.  It wasn't all bad as Dempster looked pretty solid and Fuku, Theriot, and Ramirez Cubs posted two hit games, but it definitely wasn't enough.

Mostly it wasn't enough because Bobby Howry has sucked pretty badly this year.  And while much of his sucking has been contained to relatively innocuous situations so far this season, this particular instance of suck was quite costly.  In the bottom of the 9th, Howry served up a home run to Wil Nieves, the first of his career.  Not good, Bobby.

And so the Cubs are now stuck in another losing streak and call upon their stopper, Big Z, to end the cycle of despair.  It's going to be tough as I also mocked Matt Chico.  It looks like it might take a shutout from Carlos.

I'm sick of freedom.  Go Cubs.
